Net Natives Support Tower Hamlets Student Awards

Tower Hamlets College’s Student Awards evening is the “highlight of the College’s calendar and an opportunity for staff, parents and friends to celebrate and recognise the individual achievement and success of the college’s students.

As well as helping colleges recruit great students it’s important to Net Natives to follow the student journey beyond application and see these students achieving and doing well in their chosen colleges, and this year Net Natives sponsored Tower Hamlet’s Creative Arts Student Award.

Rohash Shexo, 41, won the award for Creative Arts Student of the Year. Rohash joined the college after enduring physical and emotional hardships from her time spent at a refugee camp in Kurdistan. Rohash produced her work efficiently and independently, bringing thoughtfulness, creative and technical skills as well as care to all her work. Rohash’s final project expresses where she came from and reflects on the horror of war around a refugee camp. Her work was a powerful testament to her experience, showing the grief, sorrow and despair of the survivors.”

Student achievement awards honour the hard work and commitment of students, we’re big believers in recognising success so we are proud to support the sector and it’s always a pleasure to be invited to support these awards.
