5 reasons you can’t miss #ASDIE18

Student marketers today are operating in a fluctuating digital landscape, targeting an audience that are constantly bombarded with marketing ploys from celebs, media and youth brands. So in this vast sea of content, social media and advertising; how can institutions stand out? How can your brand be the one that’s noticed, clicked on and remembered?

Our third Annual Summit for Digital Innovation in Education (ASDIE18) focuses on how to build an effective brand that resonates with this complex young audience. We’ve pulled together an impressive panel of experts in youth marketing and digital to provide you with the audience insight and strategic know-how to level-up your brand strategy with groundbreaking and innovative campaigns.

When we say it’s the unmissable student marketer’s event of the summer, we’re not lying. Here’s just a few of the reasons why you can’t afford not to snap up one of the last few remaining tickets:

  1. It’s the best agenda ever

We’ve had some pretty impressive speakers at our previous conferences, but dare we say this is our most spectacular line up yet…?!

ASDIE speakers

To set the scene, we’ll have Simon Roberts, seasoned business anthropologist and co-founder of strategy and innovation consultancy, Stripe Partners, revealing ethnographic research into the student audience. (Psst… get a preview here)

Then we’ll hear from our good pals at Google and Facebook once again (pfft – no biggie!) about the innovations affecting their platforms.

Next we’ll hear how L’Oreal engage effectively with the youth market – they may be selling skincare while you’re offering degrees, but there’s tons of inspiration to be taken from leading youth brands.

The International School of Management will be sharing their experiences and lessons learnt from undergoing a full strategic rebrand, and JCDecaux will be talking about how and why OOH media needs to form a vital part of your digital strategy.

Finally, in a live episode of The Native Podcast hosted by Editor in Chief Dave Musson, you’ll have the opportunity to quiz four real life students about everything you’ve heard throughout the day. (Don’t forget, if you can’t make it to ASDIE or don’t fancy speaking up in front of the audience, you can submit your questions to Dave here.)

  1. Play in our GIF photobooth

For a bit of fun during your networking breaks, jump in our student marketer photobooth and create your own GIFS to the prompted, familiar work scenarios. A-Level Results Day? Pulling your hair out! Freshers Week? Duck for cover! Reading Natives’ latest insights report? Intrigue! …You get the idea. You’ll be able to share your GIFs straight to social media (#ASDIE18) or get a glossy print out to stick up on your desk. Plus, our favourite GIFs will win an exclusive money-can’t-buy prize….

  1. Win the chance to plaster your face (and your university logo) across London

We’re working closely with JCDecaux to offer attendees to star in our digital OOH campaign at Kings Cross and St Pancras stations on your journey home.

  1. Enjoy a gourmet buffet lunch

We know you loved the food last year, and Kings Place’s award winning catering company, Green & Fortune, will be treating us to a delicious array of food stalls once again. This year we’ll be tucking into slow cooked smoked Corneyside Farm beef brisket with peppers, onions, gem leaf and blackened corn in a brioche bun with chipotle sauce and a blue cheese dressing; tandoori spiced South Coast fish, spiced vegetables and naan bread with mint yoghurt; Kadai sweet potato curry with aromatic rice and poppadoms.

  1. Nab a highly-coveted ASDIE18 swag bag

The event team are currently working tirelessly to protect your ASDIE stash from the sticky fingers of curious Natives! In true ASDIE style, you won’t be leaving empty handed; we’ve curated some goody bags that will make you the envy of your colleagues!

Excited? You should be! Not got a ticket yet and suddenly got a sinking feeling of FOMO? Better get your skates on as only 15 tickets remain.
